We are thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement that deserves to be recognised and celebrated – Aleena, one of our year 11 students, has recently been honoured with the prestigious title of First Sea Lord’s Cadet for the year 2025!
This significant accolade was awarded during a ceremony on HMS Victory, the historic warship that symbolises naval bravery and excellence, where Aleena had the fantastic opportunity to meet the First Sea Lord, Admiral Sir Ben Key KCB CBE ADC. This accolade underscores Aleena’s outstanding commitment, skill, and leadership qualities that distinguished her amongst her peers. As one of only six sea cadets selected for this prestigious honour, Aleena joins an elite group dedicated to fostering a strong relationship with the Royal Navy and serving as a role model to others in the cadet community.
First Sea Lord’s Cadets are entrusted with various responsibilities, including representing the Royal Navy at important events and engaging with youth in maritime activities. Aleena will participate in various activities throughout the year, from training exercises to community outreach, and we can’t wait to see all that she will achieve. As Aleena embarks on this adventure, we are confident she will embrace these responsibilities with enthusiasm and dedication.
We wish her all the best for what promises to be a memorable and impactful year ahead with the Royal Navy!
