Welsh Youth Parliament Success

Congratulations to year 10 student Oliver Jones-Barr who put himself forward as a candidate in the Welsh Youth Parliament November election, competing against 12 other candidates to win the Aberconwy Constituency seat!

Passionate about key topics such as the Welsh Language, housing and the environment, he is keen to represent young people in the area and push the Government to do more to tackle food poverty.

Despite the fierce competition, he took the Aberconwy seat! He is now one of just 40 young people elected as members of the Welsh Youth Parliament, each representing one of the 40 constituencies in Wales. What an achievement!
