Congratulations to Expressive Arts teacher Amy Grimward on winning the Betty Campbell (MBE) Award, one of ten awards, at this year’s national Professional Teaching Awards Cymru.
The Betty Campbell (MBE) Award for promoting the contributions and perspectives of Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities was only established in 2022 and Amy has become just the second person to win the award.
Amy was recognised for her long-term vision for anti-racism and her work with colleagues to develop a decolonised approach to the curriculum. She was presented with the award at a ceremony held in Soughton Hall, Mold on Sunday,14 July by the Cabinet Secretary for Education, Lynne Neagle MS.
