Competing in Karate

Year 9 student Macie recently travelled to Germany as part of a small team selected to represent Wales in the 10th Shito Ryu European Championships.

Macie started Karate when she was eight years old and trains three to four times a week at Hajime Hero in Llandudno. She has now been selected to join the team representing Wales at the Shito Ryu European Championships for the last three years, which is testament to her enthusiasm and dedication to the sport.

The competition took place over 3 days and multiple countries took part. Macie performed some brilliant Kata in the first round, and as a result of her performance she has been invited to attend the Welsh National Championships in Cardiff later this year.
