Eisteddfod Ysgol Aberconwy.

This year we held our annual year 7 inter-house school Eisteddfod on Friday, March 18th. We saw a wide variety of competitions on stage, from singing and instrumentals to group recitals and dancing. We also had some impressive homework tasks set by different subjects.

The pinnacle of the day was the traditional chair and crown ceremony. Congratulations to Twm for winning the chair competition for writing an original legend ‘Antur y dyn Racal’, and to Sophie who won the crown by designing a fictional world, a map for that world and a story to be told orally. Congratulations also to Charlie who won the Learners Medal by writing a weekend diary entry. The overall winner of the day again this year was Llugwy!

Well done to all the staff and students involved and a big thank you to our special guest and past pupil Alistair James for joining us on the judging panel.
