Cricketing Champions

Congratulations to our U15 girls cricket team who last week became the North Wales Champions! 

Following this success, the team travelled to Sale Cricket Club to represent North Wales in a Chance to Shine competition. The team faced very strong opposition in the event, but managed to come 4th, beating Darlands School and Keswick School convincingly.

It was a wonderful day. The event was supported by several players from the Manchester Thunder Cricket team, who praised our girls on their performance. They couldn’t believe that they have only been playing for 5 months!

PE teacher and coach, Myfanwy Wilson said, “The girls were exceptional throughout. They played with courage and resilience all day. I was very proud to be their coach, and they represented the school with integrity.”
