Meeting Mererid
Year 7 Welsh first language students took part in an online virtual meeting with the Welsh poet, author and professor Mererid Hopwood where they were able to ask her questions about the poem they had been studying from her collection – ‘Fy Mabinogi i’ which was based on the earliest Welsh prose stories (legends). They also discussed the importance of Welsh and learning languages before the students had a go at writing their own short story inspired by the Welsh legends they had learnt about.
